Children’s Resources on Wheels (CROW)

Board of Directors

Who are our Board of Directors?

Our board of directors is comprised of Lanark County community minded citizens.  The board includes parents and grandparents with a wide range of experience in community programs and services.  They are an engaged bunch who feel invested in Lanark County and believe passionately in parent support and quality childcare.  Many board members visit CROW playgroups with their children/grandchildren.  They know first-hand the positive impact of CROW programs and services and are committed to have their voice heard in their capacity as leaders reflecting the CROW Mission and Values.

Children’s Resources on Wheels is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and strengthening child care, family life, child development and community links in Lanark County. The 8 – person Board of Directors provides governance for both the EarlyON Child and Family Centre and Licensed Home Child Care.  The Committees of CROW provide a mechanism for community, Board, and staff members to provide input and guidance to the Board regarding key organizational directions through the work of the following main standing committees:   Finance, Personnel and Governance.

Our Board meets the fourth Tuesday of each month (excluding July and December) and makes decisions using a formal consensus model.  Board meetings are a hybrid mix of virtual and in-person, and are held during the evening

The information you provide on this form will help the Nomination Sub-Committee ensure an appropriate “match” between your interests, skills and availability, and the current needs of the Board of CROW.
